Learn more about what to consider when purchasing Medjoul Dates in Canada to ensure they are not from Israeli companies, and to ensure you are purchasing Palestinian product. Steps you can take, and tools to assist you in letting retailers know that you expect them to not carry Israeli Medjoul dates or any Israeli products.

Al-Karam Dates

imported by Al-Karam Trading Inc (my company) and exported by Al Rwad Company in Palestine

New brand in 2022  available in the market (currently in Montreal, Ottawa, some stores in Ontario and some stores in both Edmonton and Calgary in Alberta).

There is no verification if product has/will be arriving for 2023. We will update as we get more information.

Penny Appeal Canada

Available in a couple places in Canada. Penny Appeal has not provided information to verify it source of dates from Palestine for 2023, although in past did get from a UK source that buys from Palestine company.  We will update if we receive a response from Penny Appeal.

In past, Green World has brought in medjoul from Palestine (Al-Rwad) as well as medjoul from Jordan. There is no indication that medjoul is being brought in this year, although, Lara product can be shipped from Green World.

National Best Food/NBF–this company has for many years had only Israeli apartheid medjoul, but in 2021 and 2022, did have limited supplies of product from Palestine along with Israeli-apartheid product, so be aware. The NBF website is currently down. There has been no confirmation of any product from Palestine in 2023.
