Around fifteen members of the Solidarité Sherbrooke-Palestine group and citizens gathered in front of the Costco store in Sherbrooke to demand a boycott of Israeli products due to the current situation in Gaza.

We are asking Costco to remove these products and we are asking people not to buy them.

A quote fromMohammed Soulami, member of the Solidarité Sherbrooke-Palestine group
Between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., signs were held up to make store customers aware of this movement. Oranges, pomegranates and Medjoul dates are the food products that have been targeted.
On the eve of Ramadan, the Solidarité Sherbrooke-Palestine group chose Costco since Israeli dates are sold there in large quantities. Mohammed Soulami, a member of this group, points out that this fruit is widely consumed during the month of Ramadan.
