The Canadian BDS Coalition believes in ending racial inequality, thus we support and stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. We as a coalition believe in the importance of cross-solidarity across movements, thus we support and call on for an IMMEDIATE and INDEPENDENT inquest into the death of Regis Korchinski-Paquet.. Regis Korchinski-Paquet died when she fell from the balcony of a Toronto highrise while Toronto Police Services were on the scene.
The Canadian BDS Coalition also supports the arrest and charging of Derek Chauvin, the officer who is on film murdering George Floyd. As well, we support the call for systematic change to the police system.
We condemn the training of Canadian police officers in Israel, and the delegations of law enforcement and government leaders under whose leadership this happens.
